About Me

Welcome! I am Miss Rosy Rivets, a singer with a passion for vintage nostalgia and the joy that live music brings us all. I am based in South East London but will travel anywhere my lovely clients wish.

 I grew up in Florida surrounded by Jazz, Rhythm & Blues, Country and Rock n Roll. Music is in my blood as my father was a WWII veteran and a crooner himself, so I have always been inspired by the music of bygone eras. I moved to England when I was eight years old and from the age of thirteen I trained at the BRIT School before moving to New York to attend the Strasberg Institute. 

In 2020 all of our lives changed as we embarked on the lockdown journey. It was a difficult time for us all, but none more so than our elderly relatives. The 75th anniversary of VE Day celebrations were cancelled up and down the country and I wanted to bring some joy and nostalgia to my local care home residents. So I set off with my sound system and performed for three local care homes and two street parties in one day. Miss Rosy Rivets was born and I've never looked back. Since 2020 I have performed at the largest Vintage Festivals in the UK, Birthday Parties, Weddings, Wine Bars, Pubs, Royal British Legions, Private Functions, Corporate Functions, Care Homes, Hotels and iconic vintage venues such as The Rivoli Ballroom. This summer my band Ruby and the Dukes are performing on the Main Stage at Twinwood Festival, the biggest Vintage Festival in the UK.
